Africa- Kwanzaa Day January 2016

Friday, January 8th, 2016

On Friday 8th January, Jellyfish class had a great day exploring different activities and experiences as part of Kwanzaa Day which is celebrated in Africa for their New Year. The activities and experiences focused on the theme of togetherness, sharing and creativity.

The children were able to choose which activities they wanted to do that were set up in the hall and the gym. We used African drums and used other instruments, made necklaces, tasted foods, wove mats, carried babies on our back and shared stories.
