January has flown past and the children have been working very hard.

Last week was RE week and the children learn’t all about Buddhism. We talked about our favourite things that we use to celebrate, made our own zen gardens with sand and  pebbles and we had a visit from a Buddhist that taught us all how to meditate.

In science the children made a rain gauge each and we buried them in the garden. Every day we go outside and  measure how much rain we’ve collected. So far we have collected around 80ml!

In maths the children have learnt about pictographs and have gathered information of pupils favourite fruits. We are also learning shopping role play with money.

In PE the children are continuing to learn ball skills and we have been playing some fun team games.
