We hope you all had a lovely half term. Rock challenge happened on the day before we broke up and what an amazing day that was! As usual our children were impeccably behaved and performed like superstars gaining us 4 awards.

Our topic this term is hot and cold so it was nice to have had such lovely weather last week so we were able to take some of our learning out onto the field and outdoor classroom. Shame it didn’t last long! We have focused on cold so far and the children have enjoyed learning about cold places and the animals that live there. We have also done experiments with ice and are currently reading the story How To Ride A Polar Bear.

Today we have Mr G the scientist coming to visit us and to do lots of experiments. Tomorrow is world book day and we’re looking forward to having a book day breakfast and seeing the children dressed up in their favourite characters.

A quick reminder about forest school. Please send your child into school on a Thursday morning wearing their forest school clothes. Long sleeved t-shirt & a hoodie, jumper or sweatshirt, jogging bottoms/jeans and an old coat that you don’t mind getting muddy. We supply waterproofs. Please send in their school uniform so that if we need to we can change them should they get muddy but if they manage to stay clean we will send them home in forest school clothes. Thank-you.
