Seahorse Class Historical Visits

Friday, December 13th, 2019

Seahorse Class have been on two visits to explore our local history.  We visited Newport Roman Villa and Osborne House in East Cowes. At the Roman Villa the children learnt about how the Romans lived , including how they dressed, dined and bathed.

Seahorse Class enjoyed a tour of Osborne House and were lucky enough to ‘go below stairs’ and learn how to lay a table correctly. The children also had the chance to make an old fashioned Christmas card and dress a tree.

Making their own version of Roman mosaic tiles.
