New start to the Year in Seashell Class

Friday, October 16th, 2020

What a half term it has been for the hard working students of Seashells.  We have welcomed new staff as well as new students and we have had lots of fun getting to know each other through learning and play.

A big thanks to the hard work of TLC for their continued dedication and devotion to education and learning.

During this half term Seashell class has been busy carrying out a number of art projects including printing, sculpture, happenings and painting.

Life skills were practiced with the cooking of apple crumble, cupcakes and smoothies.

Physical education was very popular with most students enjoying swimming, garden trips, tac pac and sensory room stretching.

Sensory club remains very popular with a range of tactile adventures from search and find to creating oversized art pieces.  (Football and bowling painting was very energetic with all involved.)

But it’s not all fun and games, literature was deeply focused upon with a range of sensory stories and improvised chanting.

In conclusion, the students engaged with a passion and demonstrated their skills freely and with vigour.

All the best for a good half term break.
