Puffin Class Teacher: Alex Oliver

For the past 9 years, I have worked in a variety of educational provisions. I started my career working at a Pupil Referral Unit supporting the differing needs of pupils from KS1-KS4. I transferred the skills I developed in this role to a mainstream primary school. During this time I worked primarily within KS2 leading an alternative provision to ensure the learning was appropriate and meaningful for each individual.

In addition to working, I also completed my degree (part-time). I completed my FDA in Learning Support at The University of Portsmouth. I followed this by completing my Childhood and Youth Studies degree at The University of Winchester. The following year I successfully completed the School Direct Teacher Training through the Chichester University receiving my PGCE with QTS.

I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to work at Medina House. I am looking forward to developing my skills and offering the pupils within Puffin Class a broad range of activities to become the best they can be.

My Teaching Assistants are:
