Stingray news:

I am the class teacher in Stingray class and the subject lead for Maths.

I became interested in becoming a primary teacher later in life and started on the road to achieve this in 2006. I studied through the Open University and in 2011 received a BA Hons in History. I retired from my previous career and secured a place on the School Direct program, gaining a PGCE in primary education and qualified teacher status in 2015. I was fortunate enough to work within one of my placement schools and was  a year 4 class teacher at Carisbrooke C of E Primary.

I left Carisbrooke and continued to work within education as a supply teacher and was given the opportunity to work at Medina House School in Starfish, Dolphin and Stingray classes. I found the experience of working with the amazing children and staff at the school to be immensely rewarding and was delighted to have the opportunity to work at the school and took up the role of Stingray Class teacher in 2018.

I look forward to continuing with my teaching career and give all of the pupils I teach every opportunity to be the best they can be!
