Fundamental British Values
Fundamental British Values
At Medina House School, we help our pupils learn about Fundamental British Values in a way that works for them. These values are an important part of life in Britain and include:
Democracy
We give pupils a voice through our school council and regular pupil voice activities. We listen to their views and help them understand that everyone’s opinion matters.
The Rule of Law
We follow ‘The Medina House Way’ – a set of shared values and expectations that help us all feel safe and respected. Pupils learn about rules and why they are important.
Individual Liberty
We help pupils make choices, express themselves, and understand their rights. Our curriculum supports them to grow in confidence and independence.
Mutual Respect and Tolerance
We are a welcoming and inclusive school where everyone is treated with kindness and respect. We help pupils learn about different people, beliefs, and cultures through topics, stories, and celebrations.
These values are built into everything we do, supporting our pupils’ spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.
