Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium

The pupil premium grant provides funding to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in state-funded schools in England.  It can be used to support the educational and social needs of disadvantaged pupils.

It is our intention that the Pupil Premium will assist us to achieve our school mission to provide a safe and secure learning environment where everyone is valued, has a voice and the right to be listened to, heard and respected, within which everyone is given the appropriate support to be the best that they can be and enjoy being part of their community.

We believe that “good teaching is the most important lever schools have for improving outcomes for ALL pupils, including those who are disadvantaged. Using the Pupil Premium to improve teaching quality benefits all students and has a particularly positive effect on children eligible for the Pupil Premium.” (EEF Guide to the Pupil Premium)

Our strategy plan supports our 3 year School Development Plan and reflects the school’s priority outcomes within that.

This funding supports a broad range of activities and initiatives tailored to each individual’s own diverse range of needs in order to support further learning and development of pupils from vulnerable groups.
